I did a lot of research and heres why we landed on Pioneer. We have an upstairs with a Zoned CHA that underperforms when ambient temps approach 100 degrees. The Pioneer Mini Split works great and I even turn the CHA up to 90 degrees so the CHA is not even needed with the mini split. In fact, the mini split will freezeyouout if you turn down the thermostat too low. We chose the 110V system due to the wiring being personally easier for me to understand and in the event we have a power outage we can easily use our inverter to run the mini split if needed. About the only negative is the mini split does not cool like a properly ducted CHA. In other words, the air is cooler near the wall unit. We simply set a box fan near a far away nook if needed and it cools great. On the positive, our HVAC guy who charged the system showed me where were only pulling 2 amps, which is like running a few 60 watt light bulbs amazing The 1 one reason I bought the Pioneer is they advertise that all the parts are available. We were about to pull the trigger on a cheaper noname manufacturer, but looking for parts online they did not exist. We are very happy with our Pioneer 12K BTU 110V Mini Split. Cant wait to compare and see our utility bill savings.

This is the second Mini Split weve bought. The first was about 5 years ago that we put in an all purpose room we built in an outbuilding, and we were so pleased with how well it works that we bought the second one to go in our aquaponic grow room.

The system was easy enough to install and is working well, but I had to purchase additional drain hose as it was not as long as the line set and didnt reach the outside of my house.
