Welcome to the world of Plastica Calcium Hardness Plus, a revolutionary solution to ensure your spa water stays balanced and pristine. In the realm of spa maintenance, one crucial aspect often overlooked is the calcium hardness level of the water. If the calcium hardness of your spa water is less than 100mg/l, it’s time to introduce the transformative power of Deep Blue Pro Hardness Plus into your spa regimen.

Let’s delve deeper into the significance of calcium hardness. Calcium hardness, also known as total hardness, serves as a barometer of the water’s hardness or softness. The geographical origin of your water supply plays a pivotal role in determining the hardness level. For instance, regions like Scotland and South Wales often boast very soft water, whereas the South East is notorious for its exceedingly hard water. The hardness factor hinges on the concentration of mineral salts, predominantly calcium, dissolved in the water. The higher the salt content, the harder the water becomes.

Now, why is maintaining the correct calcium hardness level so vital? Incorrect calcium hardness levels can lead to an array of issues that can wreak havoc on your spa and compromise your relaxation oasis. Low calcium hardness can result in corrosive water, surface etching, and unwanted foam. Conversely, high calcium hardness may trigger scale formation, filter calcification, cloudy water, and unsightly staining. Striking the ideal balance is key to ensuring your spa functions optimally.

Speaking of ideal ranges, a calcium hardness level below 100mg/l is considered low, while a level exceeding 200mg/l is deemed high. To address low calcium hardness, the Plastica Calcium Hardness Plus comes to the rescue with precise dosage guidelines. Increasing the hardness by 10mg/l in 1,000 litres necessitates 15g of Hardness Plus, while achieving a 25mg/l increase calls for 38g, and a 50mg/l boost requires 76g. It’s a simple yet effective way to elevate the calcium hardness of your spa water to the desired level.

However, if your spa water’s calcium hardness surpasses the 200mg/l threshold, fret not. ScaleAway steps in as the go-to solution to combat scale deposits in your filter, heater, pipework, and spa surfaces. The dosage instructions are straightforward: for every 1,000 litres, 25ml of ScaleAway is recommended to reduce hardness. Repeat this process every 24 hours until your calcium hardness levels have normalized back to the optimal range.

In conclusion, Plastica Calcium Hardness Plus is not just a product; it’s a game-changer in the realm of spa maintenance. By addressing the critical aspect of calcium hardness, this innovative solution ensures that your spa water remains balanced, free from harmful effects, and ready for your ultimate relaxation experience. Don’t let incorrect calcium hardness levels dampen your spa enjoyment – trust in Plastica Calcium Hardness Plus to elevate your spa water quality to new heights!

Manufacturers description:

Plastica Calcium Hardness Plus – If the calcium hardness of your spa water is less than 100mg/l then it should be increased using Deep Blue Pro Hardness Plus.

Calcium Hardness:Calcium hardness (or total hardness) is the measure of how hard or soft the water is. The level will vary depending on where your water supply comes from, for example in some parts of Scotland & South Wales the water is very soft and in the South East the water can be very hard. The hardness depends upon the amount of mineral salts (mainly calcium) that are dissolved in the water and the more salts there are the harder the water is.

Problems Associated with incorrect Calcium Hardness Levels:

Low Hardness – Corrosive water
Low Hardness – Etching of surfaces
Low Hardness – Foam
High Hardness – Scale formation
High Hardness – Filter calcification
High Hardness – Cloudy water
High Hardness – Staining

Ideal Ranges:Low calcium Hardness less than 100mg/l
High calcium Hardness more than 200mg/l
If the calcium hardness of your spa water is less than 100mg/l then it should be increased using Hardness Plus.

Dose Rates:To Increase Hardness in 1,000 Litres by 10mg/l requires 15g of Hardness Plus
To Increase Hardness in 1,000 Litres by 25mg/l requires 38g of Hardness Plus
To Increase Hardness in 1,000 Litres by 50mg/l requires 76g of Hardness Plus
If the calcium hardness of your spa water is greater than 200mg/l then ScaleAway should be used to help prevent scale deposits within the filter, heater, pipework and on spa surfaces.

Dose Rates:To reduce hardness in 1,000 Litres requires 25ml of ScaleAway – Repeat every 24 hours untill your levels have returned back to normal range.
