I bought this a a replacement unit. It was easy to remove the old unit and install the new one. It saved me the cost of an HVAC repairman service call. One minor detail I wasnt aware of with this unit is that the unit stays on for 40 minutes after it stops sensing air flow. My HVAC system has a fresh air ventilation system. It circulates fresh air for 20 minutes each hour. This results in the UV light always being on. If I realized this before I bought this unit, I may have considered other Honeywell UV lights without the airflow sensor that are less expensive. However, getting the exact replacement unit allowed me to use existing holes in the ductwork. I also dont like second guessing the original architect. Bottom line, I would buy this unit again.
