This part is an excellent replacement for the original Plate Heat Exchanger for the Baxi Combi 105e. Prior to installation, the hot water from the taps was very, very slow to be delivered and never rose to full temperature. The shower ran hot and cold as the gas burners of the boiler failed to remain on whilst the water was flowing. Replacing the clogged up old heat exchanger with this one resolved all the problems immediately. BG had quoted 800 for a power flush of the system and fitting a replacement heat exchanger. Undoubtedly the system would benefit from a power flush but in the meantime, 40 to have a hot shower and hot water from the taps, even if only for a couple of years, seems to be great value in comparison.
