Each bottle of this potent formula is capable of treating up to 60,000 liters of water, offering ample coverage for various pool sizes.
When it comes to usage, following the directions for application is key to achieving optimal results. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to effectively use the Leak Sealer:
1) Begin by turning off the pool pump and removing any automatic pool cleaner from the pool to prepare for treatment.
2) Adjust the filter setting to By-pass or re-circulate. If these options are not available, take out the filter grids or cartridges from the filter before starting the treatment.
3) Add the Leak Sealer to the pool at a rate of 1 liter per 60,000 liters of pool water. Depending on the location of the leak, there are two application methods:
A) For leaks in pool walls or floor, directly add the leak sealer into the pool water. If the leak location is known, target that area; otherwise, distribute the product evenly around the pool.
B) In case of leaks in pipework, introduce the appropriate dose of leak sealer into the skimmer. As the product is heavy and tends to collect at the deep end, ensure maximum circulation by setting up a pool vacuum hose for proper distribution through the pipework.
4) After a 30-minute waiting period, switch the pump back on and let it run for a minimum of 8 hours to allow the leak sealer to take effect.
5) Monitor the water level and check after 24 hours to assess the effectiveness of the treatment.
6) Larger pools may require a second application for complete leak sealing.
7) Once the leak sealer has done its job, return the filter setting to normal and resume regular filtration. Swimming can safely resume 24 hours after the product has been added.

Directions for Use
1) Turn pool pump off. Remove any automatic pool cleaner from the pool.
2) Set the filter on By-pass or re-circulate setting. If neither of these settings are available then remove the filter grids or cartridges from the filter prior to commencing treatment.
3) Leak Sealer should be added to the pool at the rate of 1 litre per 60,000 litres of pool water. There are two methods of application depending on the location of the leak.
- A) Leak in pool walls or floor – add the leak sealer directly into the pool water. Where it is possible to locate the area of the leak then add the product in this area. Otherwise distribute the product evenly around the pool.
- B) Leak in pipework – Add the correct dose of leak sealer directly into the skimmer. Leak sealer is a heavy product that will collect at the deep end. To ensure maximum effectiveness circulate the product as follows. Set up a pool vacuum hose as for normal cleaning. Place the vacuum head at the deepest point in the pool. Ensure the hose is free of air. This method ensures maximum circulation through the pipework if unsure of the location of the leak use method b.
4) Wait 30 minutes and then turn the pump on. Leave the pump running for a minimum of 8 hours.
5) Mark the water level and check after 24 hours.
6) A second application may be required in larger pools.
7) Return the filter setting to normal once the leak sealer has taken effect and resume normal filtration. Swimming may be resumed 24 hours after addition of product.
