Really robust pump. The casing looks quite streamline

Bought this pump because I needed water pumping 5.5m uphill. The specs say the 18000 lph pump will provide 4500lph at 6m. I dont know where they got this figure from as I am not getting 1640lph. I can say this for certain as I have a laguna 2200 feeding a water feature which I hooked this pump up to. The laguna which was feeding the water feature from a different pond 600mm below the water feature gives a strong flow. I hooked up this pump feeding from a pond 5.5m below the water feature and get a dribble less than half the strength of the laguna, certainly not the 4500lph stated in the specs. I am now in the position where I will need to buy the next pump up and hope I can recoupe money selling this one. In addition the hose joint has a swivel joint which easily comes apart if you move the pump while its running. A shame because it isnt a bad pump, just let down by the inacurate spec sheet and the swivel junction. Buy the next pump up from what you believe you require if you are using to pump to height and tape up the swivel junction and Im sure youll be happy with your purchase.
